Copenhagen Indo-European scholars receive prize

Thomas Olander and Rasmus G. Bjørn’s research project Wheels, Wagons and Words has been awarded the prize for the Original Idea of the Year 2025 from the Independent Research Fund Denmark: official announcement and background article.

Each year, each of the five research councils of the Independent Research Fund Denmark (Humanities, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, Medical Sciences, Technology and Production Sciences) nominate the two most original research projects among the projects that have received funding in the previous year. The Wheels, Wagons and Words project was chosen as the winner among these ten projects.

The prize is accompanied by a heavy statuette, which can be seen in the photo.
