New Perspectives on the Early History of Ancient Greek

Conference.

Over the course of the last decade the field of Indo-European studies has undergone a major paradigm shift due to the results of the emerging field of archaeogenetics. At the same time exciting new discoveries in Bronze Age Aegean archaeology continue to provide ever more context for early Greek linguistic evolution and its dialectal differentiation. This workshop aims to bring together leading researchers in Ancient Greek philology and linguistics to address new questions and problems in the early history of Greek from Proto-Indo-European to the attested Ancient Greek dialects.
