10th Anniversary of Roots of Europe
The research centre Roots of Europe is happy to announce the celebration of our 10th Anniversary on Friday, 29 June 2018. This will be marked with an event at the Department for Nordic Studies and Linguistics.
The celebration will take place at the Department of Nordic Studies and Linguistics and will consist of three lectures and a reception.
2018 is a special year for Indo-European studies in Copenhagen, as it is not only the 10th anniversary of our research centre, but the 200th anniversary of the publication of Rasmus Rask’s famous “Undersøgelse om det gamle nordiske eller islandske Sprogs Oprindelse”.
On 29 June, we would therefore like to commemorate the proud tradition for Indo-European studies at the University of Copenhagen, as well as express our sincere gratitude to all of you for supporting us through the years. We are hoping that the next 10 – or rather 200 – years of Indo-European studies in Copenhagen will continue to yield new projects, new discoveries, and new friends at the intersection of language, culture, and migrations. Participation is free of charge and we hope to see as many of you as possible.
