On Greek words for 'garlic' and a possible substrate between Greek and Semitic

Ph.d. Guus Kroonen, who has just joined the projet as a postdoc fellow, will give a lecture:

"On ἄγλις and γέλγις and the possibility of a linguistic substrate between Greek and Semitic" 

Guus Kroonen has a ph.d. from the University in Leiden (Netherlands). As of 2011, he joined Roots of Europe as a postdoc fellow with a special focus on Germanic and pre-Indoeuropean substrate languages. The title of his project is The Birth of Germanic: Linguistic and Cultural Fusion in Prehistoric North-West Europe. This is has been made possible thanks to a grant from the Rubicon programme of the Leiden University Centre for Linguistics.
