Introduction to Indo-European Mythology and Poetics

On 3-5 December 2008, professor Peter Jackson, University of Tromsø, will give a block seminar entitled Introduction to Indo-European Mythology and Poetics as well as a lecture in combination with the block seminar. Both events are arranged by the research project Roots of Europe - Language, Culture, and Migrations.

    Lecture: From Rasâ to Alpheios - Mythical Variations on the Pursuit of Sacrifice
  • Time: Friday, 5 December, 11.00 - ca. 14.00

    Seminar 3: Uncovering Mythical Themes and Diction.

Those interested in the block seminar and/or the lecture are recommended to examine the relevant literature beforehand. All the literature can be found at the Collection of Indo-European hand-books (University of Copenhagen at Amager (KUA), room 22.5.26).
